Gloss Nailspa

Just started visiting this salon and they are amazing! They are so cleanly, polite, and super friendly. I love talking with them, they make great conversation and are super attentive with all their services! I just recently got Gel X product and I loved it, they did an amazing job with the application! I would definitely recommend coming here for any of their services!

nail art central!!! we love gloss. peak silverlake nail salon. their vibes are amazing & they always leave me looking fresh! so many great artists. mia is my girl, and the front desk is super helpful - they almost always call or text back if you cant get them on the line. another tip is to call on the 15’s & 45’s of the hour, because they’re less busy at the front desk then. happy glossing!!

I’ve been coming to gloss nail spa on sunset in Silverlake for many years off and on. One of the reasons why I kept trying other places intermittently was because I hadn’t found the exact nail tech who I loved and wanted to return to. Then one day I left another salon mid manicure because the technician was so frustrated with me when I was trying to explain the shape I wanted. I came over to gloss and the receptionist was able to get me in immediately with Mia now I see Mia regularly every few weeks when I am able to get a manicure in Los Angeles, she consistently does a beautiful job. When I had gone in, I thought that I wanted to get a new set of dip powder nails, and she explained the different processes and different gel styles and convince me to try hard gel which I have to say I have been enjoying more, she always does a beautiful job. Great attention to detail and she really listens to what you want.

I'm a little sad to write this as I have been going to Gloss Nails for 10 years. But it's progressively gotten worse and I was treated so poorly today, I feel like it's my due diligence to write this. I walked in and asked for a regular manicure as I'll be traveling. Carson tended to me and asked me if I wanted a gel instead. I explained to him that I was traveling and he said he had the same color I had chosen in gel. I told him that we could go ahead and do gel and that I would like the glitter-pour manicure, which I've done many, many times. He said yes. And he proceeded to give me a gel manicure with a pre-mixed glitter-like gel color. When I asked him about the pour glitter, he kept saying it was a base coat. Finally when he realized I was upset, instead of apologizing he said "didn't you think to tell me to stop?" Whoa. No apologies or accepting responsibility! I told him it was unfair and I didn't think I had to pay. So he stopped working. He didn't finish and left my nails undone. When I explained to the receptionist who was SO lovely, she offered me a discount and asked Henry to help finish my manicure. But Henry refused to. I know Henry from going there for many years and he's always been nice, but clearly today he stood in allegiance with his co-worker and completely ignored me. The poor receptionist came over and put oil on my nails. She didn't know what to do. It was towards the end of the day, and it was clear they were tired, but there was no need to be so mean and unprofessional. I will miss Lisa, Betty and the other nail technicians there. But I'll be taking my business up the road to Sun Nails where there is good customer service. Gloss is not what it used to be.
